Sean Lloyd is a board-certified physician assistant who has been practicing dermatology since 2016. He received his bachelor’s degree in behavioral science with an emphasis in psychology from Utah Valley University in 2005 and his Master of Science in health sciences for physician assistants with a surgical specialization from Weill Cornell Medical College of Cornell University in New York City in 2010. While completing his graduate training in New York, Sean had the opportunity to learn from world-class physicians at some of the most prestigious hospitals, including the New York-Presbyterian University Hospital of Columbia and Cornell, Hospital for Special Surgery and Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.
After graduating, Sean joined the National Health Service Corps, where he served for five years practicing primary care medicine and psychiatry in underserved communities of Idaho and Colorado. In 2016 he accepted an offer to move to Arizona and train in dermatology. Sean is experienced in treating all skin, hair and nail disorders. He has a particular passion for the detection, treatment and prevention of skin cancer. He is dedicated to educating his patients about the importance of sun protection and regular skin exams. Sean is skilled in lesion removal and has trained extensively in surgical procedures. He also treats eczema, acne, rosacea, melasma, psoriasis, keloids and other general dermatology conditions.
Sean has been a clinical preceptor in dermatology for the Midwestern University Physician Assistant Program, and he has completed additional training in dermatology to become a Diplomate Fellow of the Society of Dermatology Physician Associates. He is a member of the Arizona State Association of Physician Assistants and the Arizona Dermatology Physician Assistant Society.
When he is not in the clinic seeing patients, he enjoys spending time in the outdoors hiking and camping with his three sons and mountain biking with his wife. He speaks both English and Spanish.
