Credentials
Dr. Podnos graduated Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Florida, where he was awarded the Four-Year Scholar Award. He went on to earn his M.D. with Honors from the University of Florida College of Medicine, where he was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. He then completed an Internship and Dermatology Residency at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation (Ohio) and volunteered his services at the Cleveland Free Clinic.
He has published several articles and a textbook chapter on both general and surgical dermatology, and is the Medical Director of Dermatology for Health Network One. He has served as a Clinical Assistant Professor at the Florida State University College of Medicine, and as a volunteer faculty member for the Larkin Community Hospital Dermatology residency and Mohs fellowship programs since their inception.
In addition to his focus on Mohs surgery and reconstruction, Dr. Podnos specializes in the treatment of skin cancer, general dermatology, and various cosmetic procedures. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Dermatology and Fellow of the American Society for Mohs Surgery and is board certified in both Dermatology and Micrographic Dermatologic Surgery.
When not at work, he most enjoys family time, sports, and music. He has played the drums with bands performing in central Florida, Gainesville, Cleveland, and throughout south Florida.
