Matthew Laffer, DO, is a board certified dermatologist. He is certified through the American Board of Dermatology and is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, the largest national professional society for the specialty of dermatology. He completed his undergraduate education at the University of Michigan, graduating with a B.S. in Brain, Behavior and Cognitive Sciences. Dr. Laffer then obtained his medical degree from Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine. Following medical school, he completed a one-year traditional rotating internship and a three-year dermatology residency at the Michigan State University Consortium – Beaumont Hospital, where he graduated as the Chief Resident.
Dr. Laffer’s professional interests include skin cancer prevention, screening and treatment, adult and teenage acne, psoriasis, eczema, hair loss and all diseases of the skin. His goal is to provide the highest quality, patient-centered care available and he greatly enjoys the challenge of personalizing his medical, surgical and cosmetic expertise for each patient. In addition, outside of the practice, Dr. Laffer lectures and teaches fellow dermatologists and medical professionals about the latest treatments in psoriasis and has published articles in several medical journals.
Dr. Laffer moved to Arizona in 2020 and enjoys exploring all Arizona has to offer with his family. His other hobbies include hiking, cooking, traveling and watching Michigan football.
