Credentials
Dr. Keoni Nguyen is a board-certified dermatologist specializing in General Dermatology and Mohs Micrographic Surgery. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, the American Osteopathic College of Dermatology, and the American Society for Mohs Surgery.
Before pursuing a career in medicine, Dr. Nguyen served nearly seven years in the United States Navy as a Surface Air Rescue Swimmer in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, and in Law Enforcement for NATO Command in Agnano Naples, Italy. He earned his undergraduate degree magna cum laude from the University of South Florida. During medical school at the Kansas City University of Medicine & Biosciences, he was elected Class President.
Dr. Nguyen completed his internship at Michigan State University and his dermatology residency at Tri-County Dermatology of Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, where he served as Chief Resident.
In 2010, Dr. Nguyen received a U.S. patent for developing a high-fidelity cutaneous surgical training model. His innovative surgical model has contributed significantly to dermatology education, enabling organizations such as the American Academy of Dermatology, the American Society for Mohs Surgery, the American College of Mohs Surgery, and the American Society of Dermatologic Surgery to conduct hands-on surgical workshops for dermatology residents and dermatologists nationwide.
