Katie was born and raised in Virginia, where she attended James Madison University in the Shenandoah Valley and developed a deep appreciation for the mountains. She spent four years as a whitewater rafting guide in West Virginia before moving out west, where she discovered her passion for skiing, rock climbing, and mountain biking. After earning a Master of Physician Assistant Studies from Idaho State University, Katie completed the APC Dermatology Fellowship at the University of Utah and received comprehensive training in the full spectrum of dermatologic care.
Katie has a special interest in dermatologic surgery, as well as the treatment of acute rashes, atopic dermatitis, and psoriasis. She places a strong emphasis on proactive skin health, following the American Academy of Dermatology's guidelines, which recommends annual total-body skin cancer exams as a vital step in the early detection of skin cancer.
