Maitland, FL – ADCS Clinics (“ADCS”) announced it has completed the acquisition of Dermatology & Laser Center At Harvard Park. The principals of the practice are Stephen W. Eubanks, M.D., Carl W. Demidovich, M.D. and Elizabeth R. Shurnas, M.D. The office is located in Denver, Colorado and has additional clinical support from two Physician Assistansts, two Registered Nurses, four Medical Assistants and an Aesthetician.
Stephen W. Eubanks, M.D., is a board certified dermatologist who has practiced in the Denver area since 1984. He received his medical degree from the University of Oklahoma and his dermatology training from Fitzsimons Army Medical Center in Denver. He began his dermatology career at the University Park Medical Clinic and established the Laser Center at University Park in 1989. When the University Park site closed, Dr.Eubanks helped establish the Dermatology & Laser Center at Harvard Park. Dr. Eubanks is an assistant clinical professor at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center.
Dr. Eubanks has a long-standing full service dermatology practice that includes skin cancer surgery, standard dermatology care, cosmetic dermatology and comprehensive experience in skin laser surgery. The laser surgery includes one of Colorado’s first vascular laser surgery centers that treats children with vascular birthmarks and adults with facial blood vessels, abnormal leg veins, scars and stretch marks. He also has been one of Denver’s pioneers in laser resurfacing with both carbon dioxide and Erbium:YAG lasers. He also uses twelve different lasers to treat a variety of conditions.
Dr. Eubanks lectures and teaches laser related courses throughout the country and has consulted for a prominent international laser corporation for eighteen years. He teaches dermatology for primary care physicians through a continuing medical education company.
Carl W. Demidovich, M.D., is board certified in dermatology and has been board certified in pediatrics. He graduated from Miami University summa cum laude with a B.A. in zoology in 1981. He received his M.D. degree from the Boonshoft School of Medicine in Ohio in 1985, where he was a junior inductee into the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. Dr. Demidovich financed his medical education with a scholarship from the United States Army. He completed residency training in pediatrics at Triple Army Medical Center in Hawaii, and then dermatology at Fitzsimons Army Medical Center in Denver. After additional assignments in San Francisco, Wurzburg, Germany, and Fort Riley, Kansas, he fulfilled his commitment to the government, was honorably discharged and joined the Dermatology and Laser Center in 1996.
Dr. Demidovich focuses his current practice on Mohs surgery, dermatologic surgery, pediatric dermatology and general, laser and cosmetic dermatology. He has performed over 5,000 Mohs procedures during his career and continues to employee innovative and new techniques in the treatment of skin cancer.
Dr. Demidovich lectures and teaches dermatology for primary care physicians both in this country and internationally. He is an assistant clinical professor at the University of Colorado Health Science Center in Dermatology where he provides dermatology resident surgical instruction. He actively participates in clinical research and takes pleasure in writing medical articles for publications. He is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology and the American Society of Mohs Surgery.
Elizabeth (Libby) R. Shurnas, M.D., is board certified in dermatology and has been board certified in pediatrics. She attended the University of Northern Colorado and received a degree in chemistry. After college, she graduated from the University of Colorado School of Medicine in 1989 and then completed two residencies in pediatrics and dermatology. She has worked in the Denver area since 1995 and joined Dermatology and Laser Center at Harvard Park in 1999.
Dr. Shurnas focuses on general, laser and surgical dermatology of pediatric and adult patients. She also performs many cosmetic procedures and is our consultant for the skin care department.
Dr. Shurnas is on staff as a clinical professor at the University of Colorado School of Medicine and several Osteopathic medical schools. She is a clinical researcher and lecturer both domestically and abroad in dermatology.
